About Karen Mae

My name is Karen Mae, and I am a dedicated and passionate English tutor who loves helping learners grow in confidence and skill. I have always had a strong interest in language and communication, and I find great joy in guiding students as they improve their speaking, reading, and understanding of English.
I chose to teach because I believe that learning a new language opens doors to many opportunities, and I want to make that journey easy, enjoyable, and meaningful for every student. About the lesson

My teaching approach is student-centered, practical, and tailored exactly to your level, goals, and learning style. I focus on building strong foundations first — covering vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, pronunciation, and conversation skills — while making every lesson clear, engaging, and useful for real-life use. I use simple explanations, plenty of examples, guided practice, and interactive activities so you learn actively, not just passively.
I specialize in teaching English to learners of all ages and levels: from beginners who are just starting, to intermediate and advanced students wanting to improve fluency, accuracy, and confidence. Whether you need help with school lessons, daily conversation, grammar rules, or speaking clearly, I adapt every activity and topic to what you need most.
Each lesson typically lasts 60 minutes — long enough to learn, practice, and master new skills, but short enough to stay focused and interested. With years of experience teaching and guiding learners, I know how to make difficult topics easy to understand and how to help you progress step-by-step. I always encourage you to speak, ask questions, and practice freely, so you gain confidence and use English naturally. My goal is not just to teach you, but to help you become independent and comfortable using English in any situation.
