About Karla
As a teacher, I have had great relationships with my students and their families. My goal is to make sure learning is fun while also aiming for achievement and academic excellence. I have been nominated teacher of the year, and I was Star Teacher for GA State Charter Public Schools in 2023.

For reading lessons, I incorporate phonics lessons along with sight words. We work on reading fluency as well as comprehension skills.
For music lessons, I help with learning the notes and then moving on to chords and chord progressions. Although I am classically trained, we can dive into all different types of genres depending on your interests.
