Meet Your Science Tutor: Licensed, Experienced, and Committed to Your Success
Hello! My name is John Rey Ravago, and I am a Licensed Professional Teacher with a Bachelor of Secondary Education degree in General Science from Bicol University, where I graduated cum laude. I am also currently pursuing my Master's Degree, which keeps me up to date with modern teaching practices and strengthens how I support my students.
I have tutored science students since 2022 and worked as a science teacher from 2023 to 2025. This experience has taught me how students learn, where they struggle, and how to help them improve.

Struggling with science, or just not seeing the point of it? I'm John Rey Ravago, a Licensed Professional Teacher with a BSEd in General Science (cum laude, Bicol University), and I've been tutoring science since 2022. I also taught science in school from 2023 to 2025, so I know what junior high students need and what their exams ask for.
My teaching method and techniques
I teach for understanding, not memorization. Every topic starts with a simple, real-life example. Then I break it into small steps, use diagrams and quick experiments you can try at home, and ask guiding questions so students work out the answers themselves. Mistakes are welcome here. They show us exactly what to fix.
A typical lesson plan (about 60 minutes)
5 min: Warm-up recap of the last lesson
15 min: Concept introduction with a real-world example or demo
20 min: Guided practice, solving problems together
15 min: Independent practice and a short quiz
5 min: Summary, a short take-home task, and feedback on progress
