About Marysia
My name is Marysia Fanner-Brzezina and I have just completed my A Levels in history, geography and religious studies at Francis Holland School, Sloane Square. At Francis Holland I was awarded the Headmistress' Scholarship for my academic performance.
At GCSE, I achieved 11 level '9' grades (A**) in english literature and language, maths and further maths, physics, biology, chemistry, french, history, geography and religious studies.
Having personally experienced the 11+, 13+ and 16+ application process as well as having completed my GCSEs and A Levels, I understand what is required to make a successful application.
I also hold a conditional offer from Oxford University to read Theology and Religion.

I use a personalised teaching methodology to meet your individual needs.
Lessons will usually start with a discussion of the work set outside the session, i.e. homework. This may include a presentation, returning marked work and answering any general questions or concerns the student may have.
The bulk of the lesson will comprise of different exercises, typically this will include utilising past papers. For example: dissecting each question together, setting timed practice for a couple of questions and looking at the mark scheme and examiners comments together. I will also use my own resources which include problem sheets, essay plans and annotated notes to hone in on specific areas of weakness.
I will focus on covering the required content as well as improving exam technique, i.e. essay style and structure, time management, techniques to break-down tricky questions. For GCSE and A Level students, topics covered in the session will be guided by what the student feels are their weakest areas.
Lessons can vary from 45 minutes to 1 hour. If needed, longer lessons can be provided.
Lessons are aimed at students aged 7-18 who are interested in taking the 7+, 11+, 13+ or 16+ entrance exams. I can provide help with maths, english, science, verbal and non-verbal reasoning, critical thinking as well as interview practice. I also cater to exam students who are taking history, geography or religious studies GCSE or A Level.
