About Kitty
I love to write and read, which inspired me to take English Literature and help people learn about it. I love to dance, play sports (particularly volleyball) and meet new people. I appreciate people who enjoy talking and are open to support, but I also understand why some people may be shy, and am comfortable taking things one step at a time. I was born and have lived in London all my life, and am going into my second year of sixth form in September. I was tutored as a child and didn't enjoy it at first, but was lucky enough to be taught by someone who made me comfortable with asking questions and admitting that I need more help with certain things, which inspired me to be that person for someone else.

I haven't formally tutored before, besides helping friends and family members with work - however, I love to help people succeed and learn to love something they aren't as confident with as they'd like to be. I would initially talk to the student -how do you feel about the subject, what do you want to take away from being tutored, and also learn a little about them as an individual. From that, I can tailor lessons and learning techniques to what I think would work best for them.My sessions would be anyway from 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the preference of the student and their guardian. I think any longer can be overstimulating, and this amount of time allows the student to not work themselves overly hard. I want the student to communicate and work at their own pace. I aim to work with primary school students to allow them to create a good foundation for their secondary school work.
