About Emilia
Hi I’m Emilia and I love maths and science and I believe that being able to learn from someone close in age is really valuable. There are so many topics in school which can seem boring but having someone to discuss and talk to about any worries or issues within these subjects can really improve confidence and enjoyment of learning which is my aim. In my free time I love to row and meet up with friends to study or just to catch up.

I work through a problem set going through each question in depth and exploring different ways of looking at each problem which allows students to engage in the questions and develop not only a deeper understanding of maths, physics and chemistry but also an interest and curiosity to its applications and uses. A typical lesson ranges from 30 minutes to an hour depending on what works best for the student. I teach 11-16 year olds having mentored year 8 pupils in maths and co-running physics club at my school. However, I also have experience with primary school students as I participated in a Saturday Literacy Scheme in which I worked with year 3 pupils over the course of year to develop their confidence and fluency in English skills.
