About Basil
I am an A level student at the London Academy of Excellence, currently studying; Maths, Economics and Religious Studies. I have been giving GCSE lessons since September 2018 and lower levels since September 2016. i have had a total of 5 students who have all made lots of improvement and my most recent GCSE student who went from a predicted grade of a 4 (C), to a 7 (A) in 5 months! I myself achieved a very high 8 (A*) a few marks off of a 9 on the new specification for maths, so I am well suited for current GCSE students .

My teaching method starts with an assessment day, where I will see what the student's strengths and weaknesses are. Based of this we will do practice exam questions and try to help the student tackle their weaknesses one by one. Every couple weeks or so we will also do an exam paper and mark through it so we can track progress and correct mistakes. Every student has the ability to excel in maths, it's just about how they approach their study that allows improvement to take place!

Details
I am flexible with times, but I also have studies, so I am free through the summer holiday and term holidays. During term time, hours can be arranged with me, as i still have time. If lessons are to partake elsewhere, travel costs will vary depending on the distance of the venue. If you're unsure, see why my last student has made exceptional progress, as confidence is key!
