About Krishna

My name is Krishna, and I’m passionate about helping students learn, grow, and feel confident in their abilities. I want to teach because I enjoy breaking down challenging topics into clear, understandable steps and seeing the “aha!” moment when a concept clicks. For me, tutoring isn’t just about improving grades; it’s about helping students feel capable, motivated, and excited to learn. I am currently studying A-level Maths, Physics, and Chemistry with strong predicted grades of A*A*A, and I have gained practical experience through placements at Siemens and Santander. I’ve also achieved high awards in national competitions such as the UKMT Maths Challenge and Physics Olympiad, and I lead my school’s Engineering Society, where I regularly guide and mentor younger students. These experiences have strengthened my ability to explain complex ideas clearly and make learning engaging and approachable. I tutor students aged 11–18, particularly those preparing for GCSEs and 11+, but I also enjoy helping younger students build a strong foundation in STEM subjects. In my lessons, I focus on understanding first, practising effectively, and building confidence step by step. I aim to create a friendly, supportive, and professional environment where you feel encouraged to ask questions, explore new ideas, and achieve your best. I look forward to helping you reach your goals and enjoy learning along the way!

About the lesson

I believe every student learns best when lessons are clear, engaging, and personalised to their needs. My teaching approach focuses on breaking down complex topics into simple, manageable steps, while encouraging active participation through questioning and discussion. I also use real-world examples to help students see the relevance of what they are learning. Lessons are typically one hour long, though I can adapt to 45 or 90 minutes depending on the student’s requirements. Each session includes a short recap, guided explanations, worked examples, and practice questions to strengthen understanding and exam technique. I am currently an A-level student predicted A*A*A in Maths, Physics, and Chemistry. Alongside my studies, I have gained experience through work placements at Siemens and Santander, and achieved high awards in national competitions such as the UKMT Maths Challenge and Physics Olympiad. As the leader of my school’s Engineering Society, I regularly explain technical concepts to younger students, which has sharpened my ability to teach effectively. My lessons are aimed at secondary school students (ages 11–18), with a particular focus on building confidence and strong results at GCSE and 11+.
