About Nicolas

Hi! I’m Nicolas Dos Santos Velounia Kasapi, a dedicated A-level student currently studying Biology, Chemistry and Maths at a top sixth form in London. I’m passionate about helping others achieve their academic potential and develop confidence in subjects they may find challenging. Having recently completed my GCSEs with excellent results, I understand what it takes to succeed — from mastering the content to handling exam pressure. I aim to make learning clear, approachable and even enjoyable by breaking down difficult concepts and guiding students step-by-step through problems. Whether you’re aiming for top grades or just looking to boost your confidence, I tailor each session to your goals and learning style. I’m friendly, patient and professional, and I always create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions. I’m also preparing to study medicine at university, so I take education seriously and love helping others grow academically along the way.

About the lesson

Teaching Style & Methodology: My tutoring approach is based on empathy, clarity, and confidence-building. I start by identifying the student’s current understanding and break down complex topics into manageable parts. I mix direct explanations with active questioning to keep students involved and thinking for themselves. I also focus heavily on exam technique — not just what to learn, but how to answer questions effectively. Whether a student is aiming for a top grade or just trying to pass, I tailor each lesson to their goals and learning style. I’m patient, non-judgemental, and always open to questions — no matter how small! Typical Lesson Length: • Standard lessons are 1 hour, but I can adjust to 30 minutes or 90 minutes depending on attention span, schedule, or intensity needed. • I always leave a few minutes at the end to review what we covered and set targets or revision tips. Experience & Qualifications: • I have achieved strong grades in GCSEs and am predicted high grades in A-level Maths, Chemistry, and Biology. • I’ve helped friends and younger students improve their understanding in sciences and maths, both casually and in study groups. • I’m planning to study medicine, so I understand the importance of strong academic foundations. Who My Lessons Are For: • GCSE students (Year 9–11) in Maths, Biology, and Chemistry — all exam boards welcome. • Younger KS3 students (Year 7–8) who need help building confidence or getting ahead. • I also offer light revision support for Year 12s revisiting GCSE topics.
