About Jen
I am an experienced UK languages teacher and German specialist with many years of classroom and sixth-form teaching behind me. I have worked with a wide range of learners, including students with SEND and neurodivergent profiles, and I am passionate about making language learning accessible, structured, and confidence-building. I love helping students see patterns, develop effective strategies, and realise that German is something they can truly master. I tutor because I value the opportunity to work closely with students, tailoring support so they can feel capable, prepared, and proud of their progress.

Hi! I provide specialist German tutoring for students in UK secondary schools and sixth forms, helping them build confidence, independence, and strong exam technique.
My teaching is inclusive and adaptive, tailored to each learner’s needs, with a focus on clear strategies, deep understanding, and sustained progress in German.
I offer targeted support for A Level German (all exam boards) including translation into and out of German, essay planning and writing for literary and film texts, and structured speaking practice for discussion cards.
I teach students how to think like linguists, organise ideas clearly, and apply precise language under exam conditions.
