About Lewis
I have always been fascinated with mathematics from a young age, and its application to everyday life. I achieved 9s in Maths and Further Maths at GCSE level, and then went on to get 3 A*s in Maths, Further Maths and Physics at A-level. I am now studying Mathematics at Durham, with the hope of pursuing education for as long as possible, the end goal being a doctorate. I also have a passion for music and drama, having played the guitar for 4 years, and having played lead roles in school musicals throughout my childhood. I have 3 years of experience in tutoring, helping 4 students to strive in maths.

In my lessons, I like to get to the root of the topics and explain exactly what is going on, giving students a complete understanding, as well as the skills to apply this knowledge to more difficult questions. When I set tasks, I let my students work through the problem, and if they are stuck I leave them in that state for a while, as this is where their brain really activates and strengthens, then if they are still unable to do the problems I will aid them. I like to use easily accessible resources and will always give recommendations of places to access resources.
