Academic experience:

- Second year undergraduate engineering student at Selwyn College, Cambridge.

- A-Levels: Physics(A*), Maths(A*), Further Maths(A), French(A*), Spanish(A*), EPQ(A)

- IGCSEs: 7-A*, 2-A, 1-B, (including Best in Spain for Computer Science)

Tutoring experience:

I have been giving private lessons in STEM for about 2 years, online and in person. I am also an engineering admissions tutor for The Oxbridge Launchad (a program aimed at helping state school students successfully apply to Oxbridge), where I have become experienced at preparing and delivering high quality lessons, and worked with students in Yr12 and 13.

I am very comfortable using Zoom (including virtual whiteboard) or any of the other main videocall services.

About the lesson

Hi! I'm Carmen, I'm a second year engineering student at Cambridge. I offer tutoring in Mathematics and Physics up to A-Level standard (including Further Maths). I also offer tutoring for GCSE in Computer Science, Spanish and French.

Contents and lesson timings are flexible, and I am open to different structures, including:
- Regular lessons supporting school learning
- Regular lessons teaching course contents from scratch (e.g. if you are taking an exam independently)
- Focused revision session to help with difficult areas or study for an exam.

Details

I don't usually offer lesson packs (especially during term time). My degree does not leave me with a lot of free time, and anything lower than my current rate is just not worth it for me. I believe that my rates are fair to both parties, considering that many lessons require prep time and that there is already a 45min free lesson available for you.

I can sometimes arrange discounted rates for state school students, contact me (will depend on my workload at the time).

I am happy to do group sessions, which can be an easy way to make lessons more affordable!

Cancellation: I will almost always cancel lessons free (or reschedule), the cancellation policy is just there in case someone has cancelled without communicating at all.
