About Anneesa
Throughout my years as a student, I have always been involved in teaching. It has been incredibly rewarding to foster younger students' potential and motivating them to achieve the best that they can. I have always been a strong advocate for education and firmly believe that anyone can achieve the best marks regardless of their predicted grades. As a dedicated medical student myself, I hope to encourage other pupils to enjoy their education so that they can thrive at school and in life.
I have been developing my teaching skills from a very early age. In particular, my teachers have noted my gift for explaining concepts in an accessible way so far as to give me the responsibility for tutoring my fellow classmates in the run up to our GCSE maths exam. I was also singled-out in sixth form by my chemistry teacher who noted my willingness and expertise in aiding my classmates in tackling complex A-level chemistry problems. Therefore, I feel well equipped to continue teaching pupils at the GCSE levels.
During medical school, I have been involved in various large-group teaching sessions where I have the responsibility to create PowerPoint slides and mock exam question for the younger year groups. I have also been mentoring sixth form students who wish to apply for medical school for the past 3 years. Through this, I have demonstrated my organisation and communication skills and have proven to be a friendly and approachable individual.
However, whilst education is important, employers and universities are looking for well rounded individuals! In my spare time, I enjoying running and baking.
