About Tomomi

Ohakonbanchiwa! (A cheerful blend of ohayō, konnichiwa, and konbanwa—not official, but a fun and nostalgic way to say hello!)

I am Tomomi, a native Japanese speaker with a deep passion for language learning and teaching.
I’ve personally studied English, Chinese, German, Dutch, and am learning Italian. So I truly understand how challenging—and sometimes frustrating—it can be to master a new language. But I also know the immense joy and personal growth it brings.
This experience allows me to support my students with empathy, patience, big passion and motivation.

I’ve lived and worked internationally and previously ran my own English school for children. There, I developed lively, creative, and effective teaching methods that not only helped kids learn but also nurtured their personalities.
I now bring that same originality and enthusiasm to my Japanese lessons—with the goal of helping students not only improve their language skills, but also learn with joy and confidence.

Kaitlin absorbs everything so quickly that I always end up going overtime because I want to introduce her to anything I think would be useful for her. We enjoy learning together very much.
