About Katie
My name is Katie. I am fluent Irish speaker. I attended both an Irish-speaking primary and secondary school. I went on to study Irish in college and graduated with a 1.1. I am currently doing a research PhD in the Irish language department in SETU Waterford.

I teach 40 minute online or 1 hour in-person Irish classes for transition year, 5th and 6th year students and also third-level students. I can also help with TEG or Hibernia preparations.
I have been doing Leaving Cert grinds for 4 years now and I have done a year of college tutoring . For Leaving cert students, I generally focus on oral skills, vocabulary and grammar as well as the curriculum material. I cater to all levels and have successfully helped students move from lower levels to passing Higher Level. I have also supported students in achieving H1 grades.
For students studying Irish at college level, I can adapt my lessons to align with the specific grammar, vocab etc. being covered in their lectures. Sessions are tailored to each individual's needs and academic focus.
