About Simona

Hi, my name is Simona and I am currently a student at University College Dublin studying English, History, and Italian. I have always had a strong love for languages, literature, and storytelling, which led me to achieve a H1 in Leaving Cert English.

I am passionate about helping students grow in confidence and reach their full potential, especially in subjects that can feel overwhelming like English. Having recently completed the Leaving Cert myself, I understand the pressure students face and the most effective study techniques for success.

My background in English allows me to explain complex texts in a simple and clear way, while my studies in History and Italian have strengthened my essay writing, critical thinking, and language skills. I aim to create a supportive and motivating learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and improving step by step.

I genuinely enjoy teaching and seeing students progress, and I tailor every lesson to suit individual learning styles and goals.

My English grinds are specifically designed to help Leaving Cert students feel confident, prepared, and capable of achieving higher grades. Having achieved a H1 in Leaving Cert English myself, I understand exactly what examiners look for and how to structure answers for maximum marks.

In our lessons, we will focus on:
• Essay writing techniques and strong paragraph structure
• Poetry and comparative study made simple and clear
• Improving comprehension skills and time management
• Exam paper practice with personalised feedback
• Building vocabulary, expression, and confidence

Each lesson is tailored to the student’s strengths and areas for improvement. Whether you are aiming to move up a grade, prepare for mocks, or feel less stressed about English, I provide supportive and effective grinds that get real results.

I create a relaxed and encouraging environment where students can ask questions freely and improve quickly.
