About Kim Thu

Chào mọi người, (Adult learners only) - If you are planning to travel or work in Vietnam, let me lend you a hand to "survive" in daily conversational settings in Vietnam.

My quick-reaction method helps you build up a habit of listening and reacting to the things you hear in Vietnamese. I will also help you understand how the Vietnamese language works so you can finally self-learn it yourself. Sorry, I no longer offer lessons for children

QUALIFICATIONS:
I majored in Linguistics at National University - HCMC and have a TESOL Teaching Certificate where various teaching methodologies were practiced. Job Experience: - 6 years of teaching languages online and in-person. - 3 years of conducting cultural orientation for culture shock prevention - 1 year of writing articles for a Vietnamese publisher in Canada. - 1 year of interpreting English to Vietnamese and vice versa. If you: - Want to learn Vietnamese and not sure where to start - To get a taste of the Vietnamese language to survive your upcoming trip to Vietnam. - Wish to communicate better with your partner and family members - Fine-tune your Vietnamese for your professions in Nursing, Pharmacy, Business, etc. What I can do: Learning style and pace vary from one student to another, so I am super flexible and ready to work out the best learning method that works for you.

About the lesson

If you: - Want to learn Vietnamese and not sure where to start - To get a taste of the Vietnamese language to survive your upcoming trip to Vietnam. - Wish to communicate better with your partner and family members - Fine-tune your Vietnamese for your professions in Nursing, Pharmacy, Business, etc.
Below is for references if you are still trying to figure out what you should do.
✓ Beginners: - Let's start with the basics. You'll know it is not as difficult as it sounds :) - Have basic conversations to solve your "I'm blanking out" issue.
✓ Intermediate: - Discuss topics of your choice - Or, select topics I provide customized to your needs. - Fine-tune the basics if required. - Describe situations/events to improve your paraphrasing skills & complex sentence usage.
✓ Advanced: - This is normally related to your professions (nursing, business, pharmacy, etc...) which require the usage of technical terms. - Anyone who wishes to learn more about Vietnamese culture and its people.
Motivation gets you started! Let me help you build up a habit to keep you going!
