About Caroline
Hello everyone, My name is Caroline Ortiz, and I will be your tutor instructor. I have two children, ages 9 and 10, who both score very high on their state English and math tests. My daughter is in a gifted class. I believe that learning should cater to our understanding. We can learn from others, but if we don’t grasp a concept, we must find a way that makes sense to us. I also have a daughter with ADHD, and sometimes she gets frustrated with her work. When that happens, I encourage her to take a break before returning to it. Whenever she asks for help from me or her dad, I remind her that in life, we sometimes need to find different routes to solve the same problems and not to give up easily. Giving up should not be an option simply because something is difficult to understand. Instead, we should view challenges as motivation to succeed.
