My job is to get you excited about technology and computers, while also teaching you foundational concepts of computer science. Topic: Introduction to Computer Science
Objectives:
1. Introduce students to the basics of computer science
2. Explain different computer operating systems
3. Introduce the core concepts of algorithms and programming
4. Program simple applications using a development language

- Copy of lesson slides
- Development language text editor
Lesson Outline:
1. Introduction (2 minutes): Explain why this course is important
2. Basics of Computer Science (20 minutes): Explain what computer science is, discuss the different components of a computer system and operating systems, explain algorithms and data structures
3. Programming Basics (35 minutes): Introduce the syntax of a development language, program a simple application, discuss debugging techniques
4. Closing (3 minutes): Summary of the course and answer any questions that students may have.
