About Patricia
Hola! My name is Patricia and I am a native Spanish tutor qualified by International House, considered one of the best School for teacher training.
I hold a “Spanish certificate in Language Teaching to Adults”
I teach one – to – one and groups.
All levels and I can travel to the learner.
My personal skills are:
• Well-organized
• good team skills and self-motivated
• approachable and caring of pupils
• dedicated to meeting the learners needs, regardless of their abilities and backgrounds
I have been teaching Spanish (private lessons) since January 2014.
Most recently I have organized a 10 week Spanish course teaching Spanish to a 5 students, beginners.
Also I had a group of 10 students for 3 weeks as part of my training at International House, April 2014.
I follow a comprehensive method which is based on the communicative approach. This system of teaching allows the students to quickly reach a degree of competence when they encounter simple Spanish-speaking situations outside of the classroom. I will encourage the adult students to involve themselves and to become an active part of the learning process. Students find this method self motivating and successful.
My classes focus on the four main language skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing, combined with aspects of local culture.
I use carefully selected material applicable to the student/group level and all activities are well balanced in the usage of the four skills.
I not only use text books but other diverse sources of information such as newspapers, magazines, photos, videos, DVD’s and games, which follow the recommendations of the European Framework.
