About Reuben

I’m an 18-year-old pianist who has been playing for around six years, completely self-taught. My passion lies in Gospel music, and I play in a band every week, bringing energy and emotion to every performance. I love sharing what I’ve learned because music isn’t just about playing notes—it’s about feeling, expression, and connection. I’ve helped others grow in their skills, and some of my students are now playing in their own churches. I’m fun, easy to talk to, and patient, making sure each lesson is an enjoyable and inspiring experience. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to take your playing to the next level, I’m here to help you develop your sound and confidence on the piano!

About the lesson

As a self-taught pianist and active band musician, I bring real-world experience to my teaching. My lessons focus on chords, keys, structure, and essential theory, giving you the tools to play, improvise, and create confidently. Each session is dynamic, engaging, and designed to leave a lasting impression, ensuring you not only learn but truly connect with the music. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to enhance your skills, these lessons will help you play with freedom and expression

I’ve known Reuben since our school days, and if there’s one thing that has always stood out about him, it’s his incredible work ethic. Whether it was academics or music, he put his heart into everything he did.

During our school music lessons and even outside of class, Reuben took the time to teach me piano. His patience, skill, and deep understanding of music made learning from him both easy and inspiring. He has a rare ability to break down complex pieces and explain them in a way that makes sense, all while keeping the process enjoyable.

His dedication to mastering his craft is truly remarkable. He didn’t just play music—he lived it. Seeing his passion firsthand, I have no doubt that anyone learning from him is in the best hands. I highly recommend Reuben to anyone looking for a hardworking, talented, and truly gifted piano teacher!

I had Reuben give my daughter some lessons and he was really friendly and was so understanding!! He really slowed everything down and was learning at a pace that my daughter felt comfortable with. I am really grateful that I found Reuben on here. Would recommend him to anyone trying to learn the piano!
