About Jose
I am a self-taught guitarist/entertainer for over 40 years,I began to play the guitar at age 7,accompanying my father's singing, when I turned 16 years old, I heard the music of Carlos Santana and began to mimic his style,also listening to classic rock and blues helped me out alot. By age 21 I started my own band,I now perform as a soloist all around the Bay Area occasionally.With this background I began teaching guitar in my home studio 12 years ago,one of the things my students tell me is " You make learning FUN"

I first make an evaluation of the studend,to see how much he/she knows,The first guitar lesson is learning (memorizing) open chords, I will give you some strummimg patterns to exercise at home,but even when I teach you one chord, and he/she begins playing it, I sing or play melody as if we were already "Jamming" that's the fun part.
