Hi! I'm Diana, also known as DianaTeachesChina, a bilingual Mandarin tutor based in Hangzhou with a background in psychology and real-life cross-cultural experience. I design my lessons using a game-based, emotionally supportive approach. I believe that learning a new language should feel natural, playful, and human — especially for beginners, children, or anyone who’s ever felt intimidated by traditional textbooks. A typical class starts with a short warm-up game to activate your attention, followed by real-life dialogue practice, mini role-plays, or story-based vocabulary learning. Depending on your level, we might “shop” in a virtual market, take a “tour” of Hangzhou, or discuss how to express feelings and ideas clearly in Chinese. What sets me apart is how I combine interactive learning, cultural insight, and mindful focus techniques (inspired by my daily standing meditation and wellness practices). I also have years of experience organizing language + travel events, so I bring stories and situations that go beyond textbooks.
