About Gina

Hi! I’m a native Korean speaker from Seoul, South Korea, and I’ve been living in the San Francisco Bay Area for nearly 30 years. As a graphic designer with over 20 years of professional experience, I understand the importance of clear communication, creativity, and patience.

I love helping people learn Korean in a fun, relaxed, and encouraging environment. In the past, I taught Korean to my roommate and one of my friends, and they both learned quickly and really enjoyed my teaching style. They became so interested in Korea that they both eventually went to Korea to teach English.

Whether you’re a complete beginner, preparing for a trip to Korea, interested in Korean culture and K-dramas, or looking to improve your conversation skills, I’ll tailor each lesson to your goals and learning style.
Having experienced both Korean and American cultures, I enjoy helping students not only learn the language but also understand Korean customs, expressions, and everyday life. I look forward to helping you build confidence and enjoy your Korean learning journey!

Every lesson is personalized to your goals, whether you're learning Korean for travel, work, school, K-dramas, K-pop, or simply to connect with Korean culture. I create a relaxed and encouraging learning environment where you can ask questions freely and learn at your own pace.

My lessons focus on speaking and listening from the very beginning, while also strengthening your reading and writing skills. I believe every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to match your experience, interests, and learning preferences.
