About Liv
Hi, I’m a passionate guitar tutor with over 12 years of experience in both performing and teaching. I hold a Bachelor of Music in Popular Music, with a focus on guitar, which gave me a strong academic foundation in music theory, technique, and performance. My playing journey spans across rock, classical, folk, and blues—each style adding depth to the way I teach and connect with students. I enjoy working with both young learners and adult students, helping each person find their musical voice. Whether you’re picking up a guitar for the first time or returning after years, I’ll meet you where you are. I focus on building solid technique, good habits, and musical confidence from the start. At the same time, I encourage creativity and expression through songs, improvisation, and rhythm work. Lessons are tailored to your goals and learning style, so progress feels both personal and enjoyable. I believe in making music education inspiring, structured, and practical. My aim is to help you grow not just as a guitarist, but as a confident musician ready to enjoy and share your music.

I place strong emphasis on music theory, ear training, and sight-reading, helping students build a solid musical foundation.
For classical-focused learners, I incorporate sheet music reading, tone precision, and fingerstyle methods. For modern players, we dive into tabs, scales, and solo-building while using tools like DAWs, amp modeling software, and backing tracks. I also teach digital composition and effects processing for those interested in recording or live performance.
Every lesson is personalized, balancing discipline with creative expression. I support students in mastering technical skills while keeping the learning experience fun and inspiring. Regular practice routines, clear progress tracking, and small creative challenges help maintain momentum. My goal is to build not just guitar players, but confident, expressive musicians.
