About Zoya
Hi, I’m a passionate guitar tutor with over 12 years of experience and a Bachelor of Contemporary Music, majoring in Guitar. I specialize in helping students grow musically—whether they’re in school, pursuing guitar as a hobby, or preparing for a professional career. My love for composing and arranging music for solo guitar and ensembles deeply influences the way I teach. My lessons are structured, yet flexible and tailored to each student’s goals. I create a supportive and engaging environment where students can explore their creativity while building strong technical foundations. I focus on scales, modes, songwriting, rhythm training, and stage performance to help students become confident and expressive musicians. Over the years, I’ve helped many intermediate and advanced students sharpen their skills and take meaningful steps toward their musical ambitions. My guitar teaching approach is all about helping students grow musically while enjoying the learning journey. I work with all levels—novice, intermediate, and advanced—guiding each student step by step. My lessons are a mix of structured skill-building and creative exploration. I place strong focus on developing ear training and rhythm through call-and-response exercises, metronome apps, and listening drills.
I help students understand music theory in a way that connects directly to the fretboard, making chords, scales, and progressions easier to apply. We explore improvisation, performance coaching, and stage presence to build confidence. I also teach how to use DAWs and amp simulators to create professional-sounding tones and tracks at home.
Whether you’re into jazz, experimental styles, or raw expressive playing, I support your unique musical identity and help you refine it. My teaching style encourages freedom while giving the tools needed for technical precision. I create custom practice plans based on your goals and pace.
