About Nicholas

I am currently a student at one of the UK’s best secondary schools studying Math, Further Math, Chemistry, and Physics with predictions of A*A*AA (with A*s in math and chemistry), and a set of 10 straight 9 grades, the highest grade possible (with 95% in GCSE Math) as well as a higher qualification in A-level math since I took it one year early and achieved the best grade possible. My results placed me in the top 200 students in the UK. I taught science before to students which I loved, so I am very keen to teach again. I am about to apply to Oxford Biochemistry, one of my dream courses! To save up for my student fees I am very passionate about giving back my knowledge to students who feel they need some extra support or want to expand their knowledge of math beyond the syllabus. Math can be extremely difficult, but despite what you think, it is not an innate ability, it is a skill that just requires practice and slow explanation sometimes, which I am committed to doing with you at your pace of learning until you understand everything you wish in order to keep up with tests weekly or prepare for public exams.

About the lesson

OUR SESSIONS ARE WHAT YOU MAKE IT! GCSEs and SATs are a marathon not a sprint, I want to help prepare you for how to handle the challenge without getting overloaded, whether you are in the middle of them or arriving at this stage. Math revision is about practice!! It’s a skill, not memorization. It’s very different from person to person so I want to understand how you learn best and then tailor my approach accordingly. We will focus on targeted revision on concepts you find difficult personally but work from past papers as we do so. I would also be able to introduce you to concepts beyond GCSE, or at a higher level to what you currently are, if you are seeking a challenge through delving into more advanced concepts! I am currently a student with knowledge up to 1st year university so I encourage you to ask me for topics you want to know more about and I will pre-prepare lesson plans if that is what you prefer.
