About Chris
My lessons welcome students of all ages & standards, whether you’re amateur or advanced I can easily cater to your individual needs. I am a passionate and dedicated person that enjoys all types of music. My overall goal is to share that passion and teach lessons that the student enjoys, whether that be through grade exams, or a more casual approach by building lessons around your favourite songs. My students will always be challenged, but only pushed to the limits that they are comfortable with. We can look at anything you want such as chords, techniques, theory, scales, improvisation and more.
ABOUT ME
I am a highly successful professional musician, with a First-Class Degree and over a decade of experience, giving me a wealth of knowledge & experience to draw from. I have been playing the guitar for nearly twenty years and teaching it for a decade both in schools & privately. My work has achieved millions of streams, thousands of sales & a UK Top 40 charting album. I have toured worldwide & played hundreds of shows to audiences of up to 20,000 people. Highlights include festivals such as Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds and Summersonic Tokyo, whilst sharing the stage with bands like Muse, Queens Of The Stone Age, Royal Blood, Iggy Pop, Wolf Alice, The Libertines, Catfish And The Bottlemen, Razorlight, & Of Monsters And Men.
COMPOSITION & PRODUCTION
I also have a vast collection of credits as a composer & producer, allowing me to share valuable experience & knowledge on these subjects too. I have had the pleasure of collaborating with several successful writers & producers such as Alan Moulder (The Killers, Arctic Monkeys) Royal Blood, Carl Barat (The Libertines), Dom Craik (Nothing But Thieves) & Olly Burden (The Prodigy). I can show you how to use Logic Pro effectively and share my broad knowledge of microphones, effects plugins & MIDI programming to help you achieve your full potential as a songwriter or producer.
