About Rhian

I am a qualified UK teacher with a PGCE in French and TEFL, and I have previously worked as Head of Modern Languages. I have many years of experience teaching French and Spanish in schools, colleges and adult education.

Languages have always been a real passion of mine. I studied French and Linguistics at the University of Liverpool, where I gained a BA (Hons), and I have also studied Spanish to an advanced level. Having lived and worked in both France and Spain, I have had the opportunity to use both languages in everyday life and to develop a genuine understanding of the cultures as well as the languages themselves.

For me, teaching languages is about much more than learning grammar and vocabulary. I love helping students become more confident, whether they want to chat with friends, prepare for a holiday, succeed in an exam, or simply enjoy learning a new language.

English is my native language, and I have also enjoyed helping people from other countries to develop their English.
