About Stephen
I’m Stephen, a bilingual professional based in Québec, with a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and coursework in social psychology.
My mother was a French teacher, and inspiring teachers nurtured my command of French and my appreciation for clear, thoughtful expression. I enjoy exploring language, ideas and the human experiences that connect them.
My professional and entrepreneurial experience has taught me to listen carefully, understand different perspectives and explain complex information clearly. During the summers of 2016 and 2017, I also taught young people organic farming, guiding them from seed-starting to harvest through hands-on learning.
I bring warmth, patience and genuine curiosity to our conversations. My aim is to create a trusting learning environment where you can ask questions, deepen your understanding and express your ideas with growing confidence.

I offer personalized online lessons in French, philosophy and social sciences, combining thoughtful conversation, clear explanations and practical examples.
Each session begins with a clear learning goal, followed by guided discussion, focused practice and a short recap. The pace and materials are adapted to your interests and current understanding.
French lessons develop conversation, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar and written expression through everyday and workplace situations. In philosophy and social sciences, we explore ideas, examine different perspectives and connect concepts to human experience—ethics, identity, relationships and society.
My bilingual professional background brings a practical, people-centred perspective to learning. I welcome students and adults who want to strengthen their French, develop their reasoning or explore meaningful questions.
Explanations are available in French or English, with a warm, attentive approach that encourages curiosity, participation and confidence.
