About Arash
I was only 5 years old when my dad gave me a chessboard as a birthday gift. Just a few months later, I was beating everyone around me. At the age of 7, I won the Iranian Chess Championship in the under-9 category and represented Iran in the Asian Youth Championship as part of the national team. With nearly 20 years of experience and a strong foundation from an early age, I understand how young minds learn. That’s why I’m especially skilled at teaching children — with patience, empathy, and methods that truly work. I also won the Swedish Junior Chess Championship and love helping students of all ages grow in both skill and confidence.

Structured, practical, and personalized chess lessons – with your first session free!
I’ve been playing chess for nearly 20 years, starting at age 6 when I won my first championship in Tehran (U9 category). From the age of 7 to 16, I proudly represented Iran in international youth competitions. I later won the Swedish Junior Chess Championship in 2009 and now hold a FIDE rating of 2139.
My lessons focus on real skill development: openings, middlegames, and endgames, all taught in a structured and engaging way. We also study famous grandmaster games to understand high-level thinking and strategy.
What makes my lessons unique is the practical approach. My students don’t just learn—they play. You’ll regularly apply new knowledge in games, and we’ll review them together so you can improve faster and more effectively.
Your first lesson is free. After that, it’s only $35 per session — excellent value for professional, experience-based coaching.
If you live in Saskatoon, we can also arrange in-person lessons.
