About Ranjan
I have taught and mentored students at various levels of biology learning. The underlying mantra of my technique is to connect the seemingly abstract and informational stage of biology in the text book to latest in biotechnology research. This, not only helps my students to remember concepts easily but also see biology as a deductive science just like math and physics. I make biology classes fun to learn and bring in anecdotes from my innovative research work experience in the academia, government and biotech industry. Most students I have mentored have embraced biology as a deductive science and are currently pursuing very successful careers in biotechnology research and teaching. So if you view biology as a drab and mundane I would be your guy to help you turn it around. You are not the first and you wont be the last!

My approach as a teacher is primarily teaching basic biology concepts from the school and college text books and connect those concepts to recent advances in biotechnology. Every aspects of biology has its application and learning a concept via its application is the best way to teach a biology at its purely informational non-deductive stage.
A typical lesson plan would include at first a diagrammatic representation of the biological concept to be taught and how it connects to the overall syllabus. Following that would be the basic concepts and how they were discovered and their current caveats and contradictions. This will lead to the various applications of the concept and how it helps humanity. I have applied my learning technique in high school, college at both undergraduate and graduate levels. So I am open to all levels of biology tutoring
