About Gandhar
When I was in my 20s, I learned Dhrupad singing in India with Ajay Chakravarty. As one of the few keepers of this most ancient forms of Indian music, I was able to deep-dive into the techniques which I still use today for pitch-perfect accuracy. Since then, I've created various musical projects like Anaconda Con Leche (2020-present) and Far From Shore (2004-2008). As a traveler, I have also been able to bring in many world sounds into my singing from rock, reggae, and other world notes. My music projects are pop, rock, and reggae, but with the right training you should be able to sing anything you want.

Whether you're an experienced singer or just starting out, every vocalist could benefit from Ancient Indian musical techniques. In these lessons, you will learn to treat your body as an actual instrument, maximizing tone on every note. If you know about yoga breathing, it will probably be easier to progress. But if you are not familiar with yoga breathing, we'll have to take time to learn that first, before getting into the notes. Whether you are a professional singer or just want to get in touch with your own spirituality through singing notes as a divine human instrument, these lessons are for you.
