About Laika
When I was a teenager, I saved up just enough money to buy my acoustic guitar, It was secondhand but it meant everything to me, and from there, the passion grew. Later, I learned electric guitar and formed a band, but I couldn't just keep my passion for guitar to myself, which is when I decided to become a teacher. I am currently studying Mechanical Engineering and I am an extremely creative person! My creativity takes shape in different forms like dance, ballet, and most importantly, baking! I have my own small baking business and maybe one day you'll see me on an episode of MasterChef!

We won't be trying to learn hundreds of scales, or crazy riffs in the first lesson! I make sure you're solid on your guitar foundations, finger placements, chord shapes, barre chords (etc) first. I prioritize perfecting the basics and building up from there, then you can do those crazy chords like a pro in no time! What makes me unique as a teacher is my lively, energetic way of interacting with students. I am extremely patient with students but I also encourage them to do more than they think they are capable of.
