About Lydia
My name is Lydia, and I am a practicing lawyer who has developed a strong interest in teaching English. I’ve spent time navigating the complexities of the legal world, and through this journey, I’ve come to appreciate the power and beauty of effective communication. My goal is to share this appreciation with you and help you become confident and skilled in using the English language.
Why do I want to teach? Simply put, I believe in the transformative power of education. Throughout my career, I’ve seen how strong language skills can open doors, create opportunities, and build bridges between people. I want to pass on the knowledge and skills I've gained to help you excel academically and beyond. Teaching allows me to connect with students, inspire them, and witness their growth—a truly rewarding experience.
I’m excited to work with you, and support you in achieving your academic goals.

My teaching methodology is student-centered, focusing on interactive and engaging techniques to make learning enjoyable and effective. Here are some key aspects of my approach:
Customized Lessons: I tailor each lesson to meet the individual needs and goals of my students. Whether you need help with grammar, writing, reading comprehension, or speaking, I create personalized lesson plans that address your specific challenges and strengths.
Interactive Learning: I use a variety of interactive tools and activities, such as games, quizzes, and real-life scenarios, to make learning fun and relevant. This approach helps students stay engaged and retain information better.
Practical Applications: Drawing from my legal background, I incorporate real-world examples and practical applications of the English language. This helps students understand the importance and usage of English in various contexts, enhancing their learning experience.
Feedback and Assessment: Regular feedback and assessments are integral to my teaching. I provide constructive feedback on assignments and conduct periodic assessments to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
Typical Length of a Lesson:
Each lesson typically lasts for one hour. This duration allows for a comprehensive and focused session where we can cover new material, practice skills, and review previous lessons without overwhelming the student.
Qualifications/Experience as a Tutor:
I hold a degree in Law and Medical Laboratory Science and have experience practicing as a lawyer. In addition to my legal career, I have been tutoring English for 5 years. My background in law has honed my skills in critical thinking, precise communication, and detailed analysis, all of which I bring to my tutoring sessions. My experience includes working with students of various ages and proficiency levels, helping them achieve significant improvements in their English skills.
