About James
I am a Law student at the University of York, looking to give lessons in English and English literature. I have an A at GCSE for English and an A at A-Level for English Literature. In my current studies I have a 2:1 (second highest grade). I am friendly, welcoming and patient. I hope to help you in your studies.

I have always believed that teaching is about the connection between tutor and student, so I hope to build a connection with my students and then use this to their benefit. My lessons would consist of analysis and 'finding the meaning' (as my old teacher used to say) of the text. I am also a strong believer in exam preparation, primarily through planning questions and in-depth discussion of the text. I would also proofread any essays submitted to me.
