About Bilal
Hi, I’m Bilal! I first discovered my passion for teaching back in Year 11, when I began mentoring younger students at school. Seeing their confidence grow made me realise how rewarding tutoring can be, and I’ve been teaching ever since. I enjoy helping students take subjects that feel challenging and turning them into something manageable, and even enjoyable. For me, tutoring isn’t just about helping students achieve better grades, it’s about building a genuine connection, understanding how they learn best, and giving them the tools and confidence to excel on their own. Alongside tutoring, I’m studying for my Law degree at the University of Birmingham. I’ve also previously taken on leadership roles such as running my school’s Islamic Society and organising interfaith events, which have strengthened my communication and ability to connect with people from all backgrounds, something I bring into every lesson.

I’ve been tutoring for over 3 years, working with KS2, KS3, and GCSE students both online and in person. With A/A at A-Level in Maths and Economics, 8 Grade 9s at GCSE, and now studying Law at the University of Birmingham, I know what it takes to succeed in exams and how to explain tricky ideas in a way that makes sense. I believe every student learns differently, so I make sure my lessons are tailored to you. I like to keep things clear and simple, breaking topics down step by step and using practice questions to build confidence. I also give quick recaps and tips so you leave each lesson feeling more secure in the subject. Lessons are usually an hour long, with a balance of revision, practice, and exam technique. I also set homework free of charge if you’d like extra practice between sessions. My lessons are great for students who want to boost their confidence, improve grades, or aim for top marks at primary through to GCSE level.
