About Claire
I am a law student who just moved from the UK to the US to pursue a dual legal qualification. Over the course of my 4 years of tutoring experience, I have taught students in the UK, China and the US with various academic goals in mind. My time at the University of Cambridge exposed me to the very forefront of educational excellence, and I have applied the Oxbridge Socratic style to my own teaching method.

I use creative teaching methods which appeal to the imagination of my students to encourage engagement and excitement about the subject material. With younger students, visualisation can be a very powerful tool to improve comprehension of texts. With older students, I teach detailed literary analysis to further their understanding of the mechanisms of language and its effects. My undergraduate degree in English Literature means I am qualified for high-school and college level English tutoring.
