About Jessica
I have actually been teaching from a young age and given that I am the eldest sibling of four, I absolute love children! Teaching is definitely a passion of mine and I cannot wait to broaden my horizon by gaining the opportunity to watch more of my students grow into successful human beings.

Initially, I like to begin with an interactive test, which is what I would do in the first 30 minute lesson.
This would give me an understanding as to what level the student is working at. This also provides a baseline as to how the student reacts to my standard teaching technique or whether this needs to be adjusted.
Following this, I ordinarily begin building lesson plans based on the student. The initial test would highlight what areas the student needs to focus on in more detail, therefore this is what I would address in the second session.
Once I am happy with the progress I would begin an alternative session plan. This means my third session would usually involve going through a past paper. The next session would then be covering topics that the student struggled with in session three.
After this, I would continue the alternative sessions. In doing this there would be a particular focus on making sure the student completely understands what they are learning. I also tend to backtrack slightly in the next session using quick exercises to ensure the student doesn’t forget as well.
