About Sam
Hello there! I graduated recently from the University of Cambridge in June 2023. After this, I spent a year working at Whanganui Collegiate School in New Zealand, providing assistance in the classroom and as a cricket and rugby coach.
The thing I enjoyed most about this year was working with the kids, both on the sports field and in the classroom. I loved their enthusiasm and energy and the feeling of helping to guide them through the challenges they faced. I want to take what I've learned from this year and from my experience applying to university and law firms to provide students with the help they need. I know how daunting it can be applying to university and to law firms, and I want to take away some of this pressure.

I believe it is important to adopt a friendly approach, connecting with the student on a personal level as well as in a teaching capacity.
Lessons/mock interviews are typically between 45-60 mins, to enable maximum focus.
For law applications, I can offer insight for UCAS and law firm applications. I received offers from all of my five top choices for university (Cambridge, Durham, UCL, Bristol and Nottingham). I can assist with the LNAT where I scored 32/42 - the average score for the cohort was 21.5.
I have received an offer for a training contract from Slaughter and May, one of the most prestigious law firms in the world. Having recently been through the interview process, I know what these firms are looking for and how to make an application stand out.
I worked in a school in New Zealand for 12 months, where I spent 15 hours a week in the classroom with 14-18 year olds. This was both as a teaching assistant helping the main teacher and taking small groups or individual students for the hour.
