About Alanah

I am 22 years old, and I am currently at Roehampton University studying Linguistics. I have studied Latin, Maths and Biology A Levels at Esher Sixth Form College, with an A* in Latin. I have achieved 10 GCSEs including a grade A* in Latin from Grey Court School. I offer Latin lessons at all levels up to and including A Level, and I also offer help and guidance with Latin literature as well as language. I have helped students in the past and they have been satisfied with my approach to the subject and as a result have passed their exams with flying colours. I am confident in my ability to deliver stimulating and advantageous lessons to students studying Latin, whether they are students or adults looking for a bit of brain-training! I intend to induce an enthusiastic learning environment, hopefully inspiring students to study Latin further!

About the lesson

I am particularly familiar with OCR and Eduqas exam boards (having studied these myself) yet I am completely adaptable to any exam board. I am passionate about the Latin Language and enjoy teaching it to students who also share this passion. I will be ambitious yet realistic in the goals I plan to set for my students and I am dedicated to helping them achieve outstanding results. I wish to provide students with a firm understanding of basic grammar which I believe will become extremely reliable when content gets harder. I intend to be an organised, and affable tutor who provides interactive, fun and useful lessons.
