About Caroline
I am a student at Durham University going into my final year studying French and Arabic. I spent 4 months in Dijon, France studying French and a couple of months in Beirut, Lebanon studying Arabic before being advised to come home due to the COVID-19 outbreak and the subsequent travel bans.
I am also half Japanese and am therefore able to offer Japanese tutoring.
I have tutored an IGCSE student for German previously. In addition, I tutored Japanese and English to French students in French during my time in Dijon. I helped them with worksheets that they had received from their teachers, as well as just having a general conversation about topics of their choice in the target language. I also informally taught a young Syrian girl English whilst in Lebanon using games and cartoons, which suited her age group.
I have experience tutoring an 8 year old boy with special needs.
I will help the student with sheets provided by their teachers. Alternatively, I will provide them with worksheets that they can work on, whether it be on grammar, vocab or general past papers for public exams. I will assess their level and work accordingly. In terms of oral practice, I will discuss topics of their choice with them, as well as topics that need to be covered in accordance with the exam syllabus.
