About Boniswa
I am not just your English and isiZulu teacher. I am someone who believes that language is power. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Language Practice from the University of the Free State, where I developed a strong foundation in language, communication, and meaning making. I am currently furthering my academic journey by completing my BA Honors at the University of the Witwatersrand, deepening my understanding of language in society, education, and identity.
My academic journey reflects my commitment to both English and isiZulu not as separate subjects, but as powerful tools that shape how we think, speak, and understand the world around us. But beyond my qualifications, what matters most is how I teach. I believe you should never have to choose between English and isiZulu. One connects you to global opportunities, and the other connects you to your identity and heritage. In my classroom, you will learn to use both with confidence.
I will challenge you, support you, and expect you to grow. You are allowed to make mistakes here that is part of learning. By the time you leave my class, you will not just be a better student you will be someone who can think critically, speak confidently, and express yourself powerfully in both English and isiZulu.

I teach both English and isiZulu side by side, showing you how they connect rather than separating them. You will see how ideas move across languages, how meanings shift, and how you can become confident expressing yourself in both.
You won’t just read textbooks you will analyze songs, social media,
conversations, and real-life situations. This means you learn how language actually works outside the classroom, not just inside it.
Most importantly, my classroom is a space where your voice matters. Whether you are fluent, struggling, or somewhere in between, I meet you where you are and help you grow from there.
