About Lisa
With a solid academic background, I bring a wealth of legitimacy to my tutoring practice. My Bachelor's degree in Social Work provides me with a unique perspective on the emotional and social aspects of learning, allowing me to better connect with students and understand their individual needs. Additionally, I hold a Master's in Teaching for Elementary Education and a Master of Education in Gifted Education, equipping me with specialized knowledge to support diverse learners, particularly those who are highly capable. Currently pursuing a PhD in the Psychology of Education, I am committed to advancing my understanding of effective teaching strategies. This comprehensive educational foundation, combined with my practical experience, ensures that I deliver high-quality, evidence-based tutoring that empowers students to thrive academically and personally. All this, combined with twenty years of classroom experience, gives me an ability to work with individuals and help them to develop character while learning academic competencies.
