About Emily
Hello! I am playful, lighthearted and always aim to uplift and encourage students.
I have seven years experience teaching singing and acting through song to ages 5-18, and am DBS certified. In addition to private coaching and teaching group youth singing lessons, I also have vocal directing and directing credits, and am currently a musical theatre teacher at Perform in London.
Having grown up in musical theatre, I trained at both UCLA and LAMDA (notable alumni: Benedict Cumberbatch, John Lithgow and Brian Cox). I focused my master's thesis on nervous system regulation in vocal audition environments and bring a wealth of understanding, experience and techniques to support this process.
In addition, I have personally benefited from expert coaching from the likes of Bradley Jaden (Les Misérables/ Wicked), Oliver Brennan (Les Misérables/ Pretty Woman/ Frozen) and Carrie Hennessey (operas: A Streetcar Named Desire/ La Voix Humaine).
It is one of my biggest joys to help young people grow confidence and skill through song.

I offer 60 minute individual or small group lessons, coaching singing and/or acting through song for ages 4-17.
My vocal lessons are best for children or beginners, and my mission is to help young people grow confidence and life skills through song. I do so through playful lessons, games, and songs that are specifically chosen for each student's voice and comfort level.
For acting through song lessons, I work with beginner and intermediate levels, ages 7-17, on songs for performances, auditions, or simply to help build confidence.
All of my lessons are playful and encouraging, drawing on a variety of techniques to cultivate specificity, clarity and joy in performance.
I offer both in person (London) and online lessons. Please reach out if you are interested!
