About Ella

Ella Dorman-Gajic played Tam in the Radio 4 Drama series Song of the Reed, co-starring Sir Mark Rylance and Sophie Okonedo. She has starred in three multi-award-winning short films, including The Boy with a Camera for a Face, narrated by Stephen Berkoff, which was screened at film festivals globally and on Channel 4. Her self-penned short film, BACK OF THE NET, is multi-award-winning and has been selected for several BAFTA and BIFA qualifying festivals, including Norwich Film Festival and Crystal Palace.

She's been professionally teaching and tutoring LAMDA and acting for theatre and screen for 5 years, with 100% of her private students achieving Distinction. She also teaches drama to children in educational settings; she is a lead teacher for holiday drama school PLAY THE STAGE. She was a professional mentor for the University of Westminster’s SoH New Writing Festival and is currently a lead workshop facilitator for Broken Silence Theatre’s Playwright’s Hive and her new writing group, JUST WRITE IT!, held at the Albany’s Deptford Lounge.

About the lesson

I run LAMDA exam lessons from Entry Grade, right through to Gold and Advanced Prose & Verses. I build and maximise students' ability to use voice, physicality and characterisation – looking at a broad range of poems, monologues and duologues to find one that is right for them. In my adult acting classes, we focus on techniques from practitioners Stanislavski and Meisner. I focus on delving deep into a character and honing naturalism while performing with dynamism and confidence.
