About Yusuf
I’m Yusuf, currently studying Medicine at King’s College London. I got A* in Biology, A in Chemistry, and A in Economics at A-level, and I’m genuinely interested in helping students do well in these subjects — partly because I remember exactly what helped (and didn’t help) me when I was in their position.
I’ve tutored a GCSE student in Biology and Chemistry who ended up getting two grade 7s, and I also help students applying to Medicine with their personal statements and interview preparation, since I went through that process myself fairly recently.
My approach is patient and focused on actually understanding the material rather than just memorising it — I’ll adapt sessions based on what a student is struggling with rather than sticking to a fixed script. I’m happy to do an introductory session so we can see if it’s a good fit.

I’m Yusuf, a current Medicine student at King’s College London (KCL was my firm choice, having achieved A* Biology, A Chemistry, A Economics at A-level). I offer 1-1 support for students applying to Medicine through UCAS.
I help with: personal statement structuring and drafting, picking the right work experience/reflections to include, and interview preparation (including MMI-style practice) based on what actually got me an offer.
This is ideal for Year 12/13 students starting their UCAS application, particularly with the October deadline for Medicine approaching. Sessions can be one-off (e.g. a personal statement review) or ongoing through the full application cycle.
