I like to vary my teaching methods based on students individual needs, I understand that some students will come with specific areas they wish to address which i like to go through with them identify the problem and then work through examples until it makes sense. Whilst other students will need help more generally in this case I would look over the topic with them and identify the biggest areas of help and start with them and work through until the student is confident in the subject.
