About Regina

Personal connections are the most important things to create with students & most teachers never make them. My best teachers in school were those that I could talk to about everything, not just classwork. Feeling a true connection with mentors is important, they can help you discover who you are. My goal is to be the same mentor/tutor/friend/role model to other young people. Representation matters and your voice matters. I did dual enrollment, meaning I did college and high school at the same time. I graduated from college receiving my associate's degree just 2 weeks before graduating and receiving my high school diploma. As a junior in college now, taking classes and paying for everything myself, I have gained so much more wisdom. I know that nobody knows college & career readiness more than me. I'm studying at Howard University to become a teacher. I will continue helping youth all lifelong.

About the lesson

Providing mentorship and teaching: life skills, college and career readiness, college process, essay writing, financial literacy, financial aid & scholarships, time management, advocacy, self-discipline, and so much more! Your high school guidance counselor cannot & will not prepare you better than someone who was in your shoes just a couple years ago! Look towards people who know the process in and out, like the back of their hand. Look towards me. I will be your guide, be your help, be your mentor.
