About Emily
Last year I completed my study Journalism in the Netherlands. Now I study Social Work in Antwerp. I do voluntary work (since October 2020) where I give homework guidance to young people, including non-native speakers. I explain to them what correct Dutch spelling / grammar is. Furthermore, I have no experience with teaching yet, but I am sure that I can convey my explanation in the right way.

My lessons are intended for students who have difficulty with Dutch. I don't care what level they have at the moment, because I'm used to communicating with young people who speak other languages. Together we get there. How do I share my knowledge? With Dutch it is important that you know the right rules. So I will start by sharing useful, easy tips on how to write well from now on. For example, if it concerns non-native speakers who have difficulty with Dutch pronunciation, I will write out words phonetically. So far my volunteer work has shown that it helps! In short: I teach versatile, and I always tailor that to the person. Because everyone has a different approach.
